Abu-Jamal, now in declining health, has been held there since 2012 after his then death row conviction was overturned and replaced with life imprisonment, or death by incarceration. Rally-goers will continue marching each day until Dec. 9 leading to a rally outside of SCI Mahanoy facility.

Free The Land is a video project that explores the relationship between the city of Philadelphia's vacant land problem and the explosion of new development. Trapped in limbo and cornered by bureaucracy, community gardens and green spaces sit on the front lines of the fight for the vitality of their neighborhoods. The film centers on the stories of three community gardens (Urban Creators, North Philly Peace Park, and London Legacy Garden) but addresses issues and roadblocks that are experienced by nearly every green space in the city. Created in collaboration with NJ-based media organization Black in Jersey. Directed, produced, edited, and filmed by 2BD and the 2BD Media team.
